Cooking oil quality measurement
01 April, 2009 | Supplied by: Testo Pty Ltd
The electronic testo 265 oil tester is a compact, electronic handheld instrument that is suitable for daily use. The main part of the instrument is a sensor developed by Testo, which can be immersed directly in the hot cooking oil. After approximately 25 to 30 s, the instrument shows the number of polar components directly in the display. The current cooking oil temperature is shown in a second display line. Two limits, which trigger a light-emitting diode whose colours depend on the oil quality, can be set in the instrument making operation easy.

Linear position sensors
01 April, 2009 | Supplied by: Australian Calibrating Services Pty Ltd
The MTS Systems Sensors Division Temposonics linear-position sensors can be instrumental in improving the filling process for facilities that package a wide variety of products. Where a packaging facility once required a combination scale to switch back and forth between various products during packaging cycles, the MTS linear position sensors can be used in equipment that is more compact due to fewer moving parts, as the sensors can replace a number of other components in the machine.
Waterproof SBC

Level detector and flow actuator
01 April, 2009 | Supplied by: SanTron (Aust) Pty Ltd
The Microprecision Electronics MP300 switch series feature an attached floater actuator for easy liquid detection in industrial refrigeration and other process control applications. By adding a floating polypropylene ball mounted on a stainless steel level actuator to a switch from the V3 size MP300 switch series, Microprecision has designed a simple solution that accurately determines when a specified liquid level is reached. Once the switch is activated, the MP300 switch series can trigger a signal as an input for a PLC or directly switch power of up to 6 A.
