Primary producer transforming waste into green energy

22 February, 2011

Clean water and green energy technology from Global Water Engineering (GWE) has been used by Chokyuenyong Industrial in Thailand to cut effluent COD pollution levels at its cassava production plant by more than 95%. The gas from its wastewater has also been extracted to power its boilers and generate electricity for its own use and to sell back to the provincial grid.

Banner Engineering World-Beam QS30AFF400/QS30AF600 mid-range sensors

18 February, 2011 by

Banner Engineering has added two mid-range adjustable-field sensors to the World-Beam QS30 range. The QS30AFF400 foreground suppression sensor and the QS30AF600 background suppression sensor use advanced linear imager technology to provide a good sensing solution for a range of industrial applications, including part-in-place detection, feeder-bowl control and package detection on conveyors.

igus iglidur J350 polymer material

18 February, 2011 by

The tribo-optimised material iglidur J350 has been added to the igus iglidur J all-round polymer plain bearing range. Maintenance- and lubricant-free plain bearings made of this material can be used up to a continuous service temperature of 180°C and, as a press-fit bushing, offer a high interference fit. Additional axial securing is only necessary in applications with an ambient temperature greater than 150°C.

Silvent SIS silencers

18 February, 2011 by

Silvent’s safety silencers are designed to handle sensitive systems with large flows that require minimal flow restriction. The silencers are compact in size, provide effective noise suppression and feature a built-in warning indicator that immediately shows any increase in backpressure in the system.

Alfa Laval S-separator

18 February, 2011 by

The latest version of the Alfa Laval S-separator offers robustness and greater efficiency that allows the same amount of oil to be handled with a smaller separator. The product is used for engine protection and separation efficiency, particularly in working with demanding residual fuel oils.

Toftejorg TZ-750 Rotary Jet Head cleaning head

Boge SO 150-2 to SO 269-2 oil-free, water-cooled screw compressors

07 January, 2011 by

Boge has launched its second-generation SO 150-2 to SO 269-2 oil-free, water-cooled screw compressors. Increased efficiency, improved volume flow and lower sound pressure values are just some of the developments which have been made.

Geelen counterflow dryers and coolers

07 January, 2011 by

Geelen counterflow dryers and coolers exclusively use the counterflow principle which is claimed to be the most efficient method to exchange energy between any two flows of gases, liquids or solids. By applying this principle in the dryers, users can minimise the amount of drying air needed and maximise the amount of energy that can be transferred. This results in a lower air exhaust volume and a lower exhaust air temperature.

Pepperl+Fuchs high-temperature sensor cordsets and cables

07 January, 2011

Pepperl+Fuchs has released a range of cables and cordsets for high-temperature environments. With improved resistance to weld slag, the cables can handle temperature ranges of -40 up to +150°C for extended time periods of up to 3000 h.

Replacing gear pumps at chocolate factory

06 January, 2011

Watson-Marlow Masosine MR and SPS series positive displacement pumps have been installed at Kinnerton, the chocolate and confectionery specialist.
