Level detector and flow actuator
01 April, 2009 byThe Microprecision Electronics MP300 switch series feature an attached floater actuator for easy liquid detection in industrial refrigeration and other process control applications. By adding a floating polypropylene ball mounted on a stainless steel level actuator to a switch from the V3 size MP300 switch series, Microprecision has designed a simple solution that accurately determines when a specified liquid level is reached. Once the switch is activated, the MP300 switch series can trigger a signal as an input for a PLC or directly switch power of up to 6 A.
Gears for DC motors
01 April, 2009 byWorm gearboxes (SG) are noted for their quiet running. The worm-gear shaft has bearings on both sides. The gear components, made of bronze or steel, and the lubrication ensure a long service life at the rated torque. In many applications, the location of the output shaft at 90° to the motor shaft provides an optimum design solution. On request, worm-gearboxes can be supplied with a hollow output shaft.
PET blowing compressors
01 April, 2009 byAtlas Copco’s ZD high-pressure compressors have been certified oil-free air with a Class 0 certification.
Vacuum dryer sealing
01 April, 2009 byTwo challenges encountered by processors who have to dry abrasive slurries are contamination of product by packing flecks and the loss of vacuum leading to longer and longer drying cycles. For most, the greater the vacuum, the shorter the batch time and the more profitable the process.
Servomotors
31 March, 2009 byThe Mavilor DC Servomotor — MSS Series features ratings to 6000 rpm; a compact length; zero cogging; and acceleration torques to 10 x rated.

Pressure tank mixers
01 August, 2008Mixquip side entry agitators now incorporate a mechanical seal to suit all high-pressure applications. Products in pressure vessels, de-aerators and vacuum tanks can be blended or mixed using these agitators.
Seals eliminate caramelising around shafts
10 July, 2008MECO seals are custom-designed and manufactured to each application, and can retrofit most process equipment. The seals incorporate up to 6 mm of shaft run-out capacity into its seal designs. Seals are available either un-split or fully split, to permit installation without removal of drive or bearings.
