The Natural Confectionery Co introduces lollies with less sugar
Food manufacturers are often looking to find ways to translate trends from the consumer market to their product development, including updating recipes to reflect the lower calorie confectionery push from consumers.
Mondelēz Australia, the parent company of The Natural Confectionery Co., has developed a ‘50% Less Sugar’ lollies range including Berry Wave and Tropical Blast flavours.
The Natural Confectionery Co. claims the jellies contain 50% less sugar compared to the average amount of sugar present in leading lolly jelly products. They have a 4.5 Health Star Rating and no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners.
Amy Richards, Senior Marketing Manager – Candy ANZ for Mondelēz, said: “Through the launch of the 50% Less Sugar range, we are redefining the snacking experience, whilst also continuing our legacy of delivering better-for-you lollies. With consumers becoming more focused on health and wellbeing, The Natural Confectionery Co.’s new range provides a treat which meets the growing demands for reduced sugar snacking options, while still delivering the taste and flavours that Aussies expect.”
