GEA and SOCACEL align to develop ham massager
GEA Food Solutions and SOCACEL have joined forces to develop a new vacuum ham massager. The two companies say the alliance’s synergy will result in a massager that sets high standards for performance, reliability and quality.
The new machine will be based on an earlier SOCACEL massager and will be manufactured at one of GEA’s plants.
“Marination is a meat processing technology that demands an extremely high level of understanding of the chemistry involved and the end product. This is valid for designing the equipment as well as selling it,” said Friedrich Maier, product manager for marination at GEA.
“By coupling SOCACEL’s experience, knowledge and track record in this field with our GEA manufacturing capability, global network and supply chain infrastructure, we can offer customers the benchmark in ham massagers. And that is just the start!”
The companies say the new massager will be introduced during 2014 and will be previewed at InterPack in Germany.
