Doughnut ice-cream hybrids arrive at 7-Eleven
Australian ice cream giant Streets has partnered with Krispy Kreme to deliver a limited edition, Golden Gaytime-inspired doughnut and doughnut-like ice-cream.
According to the companies, the Golden Gaytime crumbed doughnut with hand-dipped chocolate shell will contain a double-layered filling of the ice-cream brand’s toffee and vanilla crème, while the ice-cream will have a Krispy Kreme original glaze-inspired filling and doughnut flavoured crumb.
Streets Brand Manager Samantha Jarmal said the company was “thrilled to partner with Krispy Kreme and 7-Eleven” — which is exclusively distributing the treats — to “give our iconic Golden Gaytime an exciting new form”.
“Aussies can find everything they love about the crumbly-goodness of our Gaytimes in a delicious new way and truly enjoy the best of both worlds when it comes to snack-time.”
Krispy Kreme Chief Marketing Officer Russell Schulman added, “We know our customers love a unique spin on our iconic Krispy Kreme doughnut, and this exciting collaboration is something Aussies have been ice-screaming for!”
The ice-creams and doughnuts became available on 27 September in 700 7-Eleven stores across the country.
