Flip top cap for cream wins international packaging award

Pact Group has been awarded the 2015 World Dairy Innovation Award for the Murray Goulburn Flip Top Cream Cap (also known as the Easy Pour and Seal Lid) in the Best Dairy Packaging Innovation category.

The World Dairy Innovation Awards, held annually at the Global Dairy Congress, celebrate excellence and innovation across every category of the global dairy industry. This year, the awards received over 200 nominations from more than 30 countries.

General Manager Greg Beilby said upon receiving the award, “We are delighted to win this category this year, having been placed as a finalist last year with our Light Proof bottle.”

The Easy Pour and Seal Lid hinged cream cap has been designed to enhance the consumer experience of opening, pouring and resealing cream containers in a more easy-to-use and hygienic manner. It eliminates the tear strip commonly used on other cream containers which can be difficult to open and problematic when pouring. Murray Goulburn was first to adopt the technology, launching it under its Devondale brand.
