AIP to host its final State of Industry Webinar for 2026

The Australasian Institute of Packaging (AIP) will be hosting its final State of Industry Webinar for 2026 on Wednesday, 9 December. The webinar will present a global view of on-packaging recycling labelling programs and will bring together experts from the US, UK and Europe.

Attendees will be able to learn more details about how the rest of the world labels their packaging, including the Nordic Labelling program and the intersection with the new labelling program being discussed under the Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulations for all European member States, the OPRL in the UK and How2Recycle in the US.

The programs discussed in the webinar have evolved from simple kerbside recycling labelling to now having ‘Check Locally’, container deposit schemes, drop-off and collection points for niche materials, not-yet-recycled labels, QR codes and more. The programs are dynamically designed to adapt to the regulatory frameworks that are being developed across the globe, including the stricter regulations around misleading and greenwashing claims on packaging.
