Australian chiller manufacturer Summit Matsu Chilling Systems has added automatic refrigeration leak detection as an option to its range of process water chillers for industrial applications.
"Where chillers are used in food manufacturing this could be of critical importance. Particularly if the chilled water is used as a primary ingredient," said general manager Daniel Rollston.
The system works by taking regular samples of air in the process water tank and linking the samples back to an analyser. The analyser is then linked into the chiller control system and can be installed so that the chiller gives an alarm or simply shuts down preventing water entering the manufacturing process.
Summit Matsu Chilling Systems is an Australian chiller manufacturer specialising in commercial and industrial air-cooled and water-cooled chillers.
