Insect-O-Matic Nectar fruit fly control unit

Friday, 26 August, 2011 | Supplied by: Insect-O-Matic

Insect-O-Matic has introduced the Nectar unit which can be used to discreetly control fruit flies as well as other flying insect pests. This insect control device specifically targets fungal gnats (commonly known as fruits flies, vinegar flies or bar flies).

Nectar uses melon-scented and pheromone-impregnated glueboards - attractive to the fungal gnats as well as flies - together with the patented Synergetic UVA-Green light to attract the insects. In addition, Nectar has two trays designed to hold a liquid attractant (such as wine or vinegar), which further enhances the attractiveness of the unit to fungal gnats and hence its performance.

Nectar has stainless steel construction and a discreet design with the trapped insects being kept out of sight. It is user friendly - simply plug it in and turn it on. Changing the glueboards is quick and easy.
