The Starfrost Starlite Turbo ‘individually quick freeze’ (IQF) inline tunnel freezer range combines compactness with a fully accessible stainless steel design.

The Turbo IQF freezing system enables users to individual quick freeze large quantities of particulate products such as peas, beans, fruits and French fries, but is particularly suitable for freezing difficult products such as boiled rice, cooked minced meat, pizza topping and diced peaches.

A vibratory infeed design ensures product is evenly fed onto the first conveyor belt directly into the refrigerated air stream where effective crust freezing is achieved. Product is transferred from the initial conditioning belt to the second belt to achieve full and final freezing of the product.

Full fluidisation is maintained at maximum levels for the full operational period by utilising efficient variable speed centrifugal fans, Star-D-Belt and air bypass arrangement to allow full airflow through the evaporator and correct airflow through the product.

The Starlite will freeze product previously considered only suitable for cryogenic freezing. The use of the Star-D-Belt to filter the air leaving the product enables airflows of sufficient velocities to fluidise even small products such as cooked minced meat and yet retain the fines within the freezer and without the evaporator becoming contaminated.
