Monday, 30 July, 2012
San Diego’s oldest craft brewery, Karl Strauss Brewing Co, recently commissioned CoMac of Italy to install a keg line at its Northern Californian brewery.

Karl Strauss recently expanded its brewery in response to increased demand for its product. To keep up with demand, Karl Strauss had CoMac install a keg line with a speed of 60 kph.
The line consists of: a four-head keg washer/filler; three cleaning solution tanks for caustic/acid cleaning, hot water and mixed water; inlet and outlet conveyors; a sliding chute; and filters and reducers.
Karl Strauss said the expansion has increased production capacity by 31%, as a result of the new equipment, and an increase in its production workforce.
