Markem-Imaje 5800 Hot Melt Inkjet Printer
The Markem-Imaje high-resolution, large-character 5800 Hot Melt Inkjet Printer provides clear, consistent text, graphics and GS1-compliant bar codes on cases, trays and shrink wraps. Suitable for corrugate printing applications, the printer can be easily integrated into existing production lines, carton erectors or tapers.
The printer’s TouchDry hot melt ink technology means instant dry, solvent-free ink will not bleed or fade for the life of the case. Bar codes printed with this technology are 100% readable and GS1 compliant. Touch Dry inks can be delivered on a wide range of substrates and environments ranging from 0-40°C with print speeds up to 182 m/min.
The printer offers a smaller footprint design and lower energy consumption. It works as a stand-alone or integrated unit and can be used in conjunction with CoLOS Enterprise software. Intuitive icon-based user interfaces provide a familiar platform and USB connectivity simplifies file data transport. The system can be equipped with an optional print head slide assembly for precise print gap control.
It features a shorter warm-up time, less cabling and increased print performance for real-time data and the capability to print dynamic 2D bar codes.
