ifm efector RFID system for production and conveying
ifm efector has developed an RFID system for production and conveying. The robust evaluation unit is equipped with an integrated Profibus DP interface and a web server. Parameters can be easily set via a laptop.
The unit has an IP67 rating and a large temperature range, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments.
The RFID evaluation unit features four antenna terminals or digital I/Os. The antenna concept ensures easy and quick connection of the LF and HF antennas by means of M12 connectors. Additionally, with a memory size of up to 2 Kb, the system also offers HF transponders with 16 Kb as a FRAM variant which can be rewritten an unlimited number of times.
The RFID system platform is used in production for identifying tools or monitoring production steps. Further applications include quality assurance, the automotive industry and automation and conveying.
