The Bradman Lake Group (BLG) will showcase its updated version of the DRT robotic top loader at PackExpo in Chicago.

The DRT top loader on display will incorporate both the FT120 multipack flow wrapper and a carton management system with the option to switch to either method of loading. The line will be demonstrating the automatic collating and loading of primary wraps into a choice of two secondary packages, either a film multipack or a rigid retail carton.

The top loader features a dual race track (DRT) that can produce either ‘flat pack’ or ‘edge’ collations, depending on the infeed. It uses the ABB FlexPicker delta robot for superior pick and placement of products and has an operating speed of up to 800 products per minute.

The machine offers flexibility to pack the products in a range of different style packages, a small footprint with dual functionality, and a lower capital investment.
