Avery Dennison rDT recycled direct thermal paper labels

Wednesday, 27 January, 2021 | Supplied by: Avery Dennison

Avery Dennison has launched its direct thermal (DT) paper labels that contain recycled post-consumer waste.

The company began the project, called rDT, after seeing a sharp rise demand for sustainable direct thermal solutions.

DT paper is a popular material due to its ease of use, high print speed, high image resolution and wide range of compatible printers.

The company claims the innovation is the first recycled uncoated direct thermal paper label material available on the market.

rDT is a BPA-free, FSC certified direct thermal uncoated paper that contains post-consumer recycled waste. According to the company, the material’s performance is consistent with standard DT paper, including visual appearance, conversion, printability and barcode readability.
