Label maker upgrades to UV inkjet printing press

Jet Technologies has recently helped NSW Central Coast-based SL&CS Promotions upgrade to a new UV inkjet printing press. The company has been running a UV inkjet printing press for a number of years to print labels and tags for small- to large-sized businesses across Australia.

The need for increased printing speed, printing press reliability and improved quality led to the decision to update its printing press. Important factors for choosing to partner with Jet Technologies and SCREEN GP were the availability of local support, future product developments and proven installation experience.

“Shane at SL&CS got the whole production team involved in the process of evaluating the printing solutions available with Jet Technologies and SCREEN GP, as it was important that an investment was made in the option that worked not just for the business, but most importantly for those on the ground operating the printer,” said David Reece, Sales Director, Jet Technologies. “SL&CS chose the SCREEN Truepress Jet L350UV inkjet label press.”

The L350UV inkjet press for narrow web has printing speeds of 60 m/min. It has the ability to run a wide variety of existing and new materials from 100 to 350 mm widths, with durability and lightfastness of the inks, as well as good print quality.
