Tradition and street art collide on limited edition bottle
Hennessy has collaborated with legendary graffiti artist Futura to product the Hennessy VS Futura limited edition bottle. The bottle brings together two extremes of culture: Hennessy’s centuries-old traditions and Futura’s modern ‘abstract graffiti’ style.
Not content to simply design the label, Futura chose to immerse himself in the creation process to better represent the brand through his design. Travelling to Cognac, Futura was guided through Hennessy’s oldest facilities to experience the art of blending - a craft unchanged for centuries.

Leonard McGurr began his career in the 1970s as a graffiti writer, evolving into the internationally recognised artist known as Futura. Regarded as a leader of the ‘abstract graffiti’ movement, Futura now works as a painter, graphic designer, sculptor and photographer, showcasing his art around the world.
The collaboration will see Futura place his signature atom design on 360,000 individually numbered bottles worldwide. “The limited edition design is a true masterpiece and one that appropriately captures the essence of the Hennessy brand,” said Damon Ross-Walker, Hennessy Australia Brand Manager.

“Hennessy has always cultivated ties with the artistic world and we are excited to now be extending our support to street artists, with Futura being one of the most influential graffiti artists to date.”
