Chadwicks has created a variety of lids for Bacchus’s ready-to-drink liqueur shot party pack, Shotbox.

Chadwicks supplied the 46 mm printed polyester lids with PS lacquer in several vibrant colours to correspond to each of the gift pack’s six flavours - Cowboy, Cowgirl, QF, Choc Éclair, Pancake and Banana.

The lids are printed two colour using UV inks on MPS UV flexo narrow web and are pindot embossed.

John Savage, Business Development Manager at Chadwicks, said, “Polyester is a choice material for many of our customers, who are quickly recognising the benefits of choosing the substrate for the packaging of their food and beverage products.

“Polyester as a lid material really is the future, as it offers numerous primary benefits such as improved graphics and printing, durability and easy-peel properties. Therefore, not only will products jump off the shelves, they will also be very convenient for the end user.”

The white surface of polyester provides an ideal surface for improved graphics and colour definition, while it is also available transparent and with partial heat seal lacquer. Its nonmetallic properties make a good choice where end-of-line metal detection is required and it is highly resistant to punctures and tears.

Luandina Neves of Bacchus said, “We approached Chadwicks due to its excellent reputation in supplying quality lids to its customers. Shotbox is a very popular product, so we wanted to work with an expert who could advise exactly on the correct types of materials and designs that would suit our product.”
