Carapelli is one of Italy’s leading suppliers of edible oils and its Extra Virgin Olive Oil is exported globally. The company chose the OCME Libra R5 30 P125 automatic rotary weight filler for its new vegetable oil production line.

The rinser-filler-capper has a speed from 3600 up to 60,000 bottles per hour and can handle plastic, glass and metal bottles/cans from 50 mL to 5 L with accurate filling weights. The machine has a pitch of 125 mm and is equipped with 30 filling stations and 10 capping heads.

The benefits of the filler include: precise weight calculation; standard deviation of 1 g for a 1 L bottles (.01%); can fill both hot and cold liquids; no product loss due to use of vacuum; no mechanical lifter for bottles which results in less maintenance; and no contact between the nozzle and the bottle for a clean neck finish surface.
