Screw feeder weigher with plastic hoppers

Ishida has released a fully automatic multi-head weigher with screw feeders. The CCW-R weighers are particularly suitable for fresh and very sticky meat, poultry and fish products, as well as fruit and dried fruit which cannot be moved efficiently by feeder vibration. Even meat on the bone can be quickly and evenly processed.

In contrast to conventional weighing machines, the CCW-R weighers can achieve double the output when weighing extremely sticky products. Spiral feeders replace the traditional radial feeders, which are customary on multihead weighers, and therefore allow controlled feeding into the weigh hoppers. The 14 headed scales have large plastic hoppers with a 1.5 L capacity.

The robust hoppers have a non-stick surface and are driven by servomotors. Up to 60 weighings/min can be achieved with minimum loss of product.

The use of multiheaded weighers is a sensible solution when manual product feeding is not economically viable and when the weigher needs to run at maximum speed and consistency. This machine can really display its high product output and precision in processing lines with few product changeovers.
