Ferrostaal high-speed robotic palletising solution

Ferrostaal Australia has long supported Australia’s leading converting companies by supplying equipment and tooling used to produce the majority of folding cartons in Australia.

At AUSPACK PLUS 2013, Ferrostaal will display a high-speed robotic palletising solution. It is a compact, portable, stand-alone robotic palletising cell that is plug and play. The robot can be delivered, installed and be operational the same day.

The high-speed, robotic pick-and-place system can automate many high-speed picking applications for frozen foods, bar lines, top-load carton systems and case packing.

The robot cell features a user-friendly colour touch-screen interface that allows operators to store and recall many different pallet patterns, speed and case-size adjustments. The advanced gripper design means many different sized cases can be handled at speed without changing parts.

Using the robot can improve packaging-line efficiencies, solve OH&S issues related to manual palletising and achieve a positive ROI with a compact robot-palletising cell, the company says.
