Electric-powered reach trucks

Monday, 06 July, 2009 | Supplied by: Toyota Material Handling Australia Pty Ltd

The BT Reflex Series electric-powered reach trucks offer improvements on the previous model with increased capacities, higher performance, reduced energy requirements and improved safety for the operator.

Capacities range from 1400 to 2500 kg and lift heights have been increased to 12.5 m.

The Reflex range has been developed with the focus on safety, durability and reliability.

Among many improvements, durability will be enhanced through the use of electrical connectors to prevent the occurrence of intermittent faults.

Quick-release hydraulic connections on all hydraulic hoses have also been included to reduce the time it takes for service technicians to service the equipment and carry out repairs.

Productivity improvements include the new multifunction control handle which is interchangeable from truck to truck. BT has retained the four-lever system from the old series on the new range, but has also developed a multifunction joystick control handle.

These two control modules are easily interchanged between units in a matter of minutes, with no tooling required.

Other improvements include changes to the height selection feature, which now allows programming by aisle and level. All units will come standard with push-button ‘auto fork levelling and sideshift centring’.
