Dust-minimising connector

The BFM fitting is a clampless and snap-in connector that can be used for the transfer of mainly powder-type products from one item of plant to another.

The BFM connectors and spigots are supplied in standard sizes, and the crevasse between the side walls of the spigot and the flexible connector have been eliminated as the connector seals on the inside.

The tool-free fitting snaps easily into place in less than 40 s.

The BFM fitting will accommodate various connector materials such as polyurethane, polyester, nylon, aramid, kevlar, PTFE and others. However, the success of the BFM to date has been a flexible product created just for the BFM called Seeflex 040, which is used on 90% of the applications.

Seeflex 040 is a clear polyester-based thermoplastic polyurethane alloy, which will not conduct static.

Having no memory Seeflex will not fracture as a result of constant flexing as found in rotary sieves, sifters and vibrating equipment.

High abrasion resistance combined with a smooth welded seam makes Seeflex suitable in dust-free factories.

Seeflex 040 is both FDA and USDA approved, so is also suitable for hygienic applications.

Seeflex provides the added bonus that it is clear, so every flexible connector becomes a sight glass where the operators can quickly see what is happening with the product.
