Ammeraal Beltech Pop-up flight for conveyors

Thursday, 19 September, 2013 | Supplied by: Rydell Beltech Pty Ltd

The Ammeraal Beltech Pop-up flight is a simple modular solution to the problem of food losses on conveyor systems. Products which have failed to discharge remain on the belt on its return journey and often then fall on the packaging hall floor, losing food processors money through wasted product.

The pop-up flight pops up at the foot of the conveyor incline to support the food as it moves up the elevator, holding it steady. Once the product has been successfully discharged, the flight pops down again so an automatic scraper can clean up the belt.

The flight is of modular design and is easily retrofitted to existing conveyor belt solutions. It is suitable for fresh/frozen meat and fish processing, salads and green leaf vegetables, confectionery packaging, and pasta and rice processing.
