DB Schenker to showcase logistics at Fine Food Australia
DB Schenker is showcasing its logistics solutions at the food trade event Fine Food Australia expo to be held at Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, 2-5 September.
The logistics service provider aims to showcase the latest in air freight, ocean freight, and contract logistics solutions, with specialised offerings for food and beverage at Stand E4 at the event.
Daniel Andersen, Director, Air Freight, DB Schenker Australia & New Zealand Cluster, said: “DB Schenker has a number of dedicated transportation solutions for perishables such as meat, dairy, and fresh product, as well as storage and handling to keep product quality high.
“For example, in Western Australia, DB Schenker has one of the state’s three temperature-controlled storage facilities for food and perishable goods. With air freight we can offer time-definite options with seamless tracking and condition monitoring, and through ocean freight we have niche solutions such as transporting fresh milk in flexitanks,” Andersen said.
One of the solutions that will be demonstrated at the expo by the logistics company is its ‘AirTrack’, which provides users with real-time visibility of air freight shipments.
“Not only does this help with risk management practices, but customers can keep an accurate record of data such as temperature, so that if an issue occurs during transportation, they have full knowledge of whether the product is still compliant with food health and safety regulations,” said Andersen.
