Bonfiglioli to debut new products at Foodtech Packtech
Bonfiglioli will be showcasing its products designed for warehousing, material handling and automation solutions in the food processing and packaging sector at Foodtech Packtech and MHL Expo in Auckland this September.
“We’re excited to be part of Foodtech Packtech and MHL 2025, especially as some of the latest solutions from Bonfiglioli will be making their local debut at the expo,” said Paul Savage, Country Manager, Bonfiglioli New Zealand. “This event is a great platform to connect with customers and prospects, and to demonstrate how our products and capabilities can resolve the logistics, warehousing and material handling challenges facing the sector.”
Four key products will be introduced to the local market during the event, including:
1. DGM Modular inverter
This decentralised inverter is designed for use with motors to provide a automation solution suitable for use in a range of applications including conveyor systems and logistics processes. To reduce cabling requirments, the DGM Modular can be mounted directly onboard the motor or wall-mounted close to it. This simplifies plant design and enables good control of speed and torque. With an integrated PID and internal PLC, the inverter is designed to deliver flexible automated speed control. It also has an aluminium housing with IP65 rating, making it suitable for food processing and packaging applications, with vibration-free operation. It is also versatile, with a 0.55–30 kW power range and high compatibility with a range of Bonfiglioli motors.
2. Blue Roll wheel-mounted gearbox
Specifically developed to meet the requirements of the AGV sector, this gearbox is available in various sizes to meet load requirements, and reaches a speed of up to 2 m/s. It is almost completely enclosed by the wheel and can be fitted directly to the chassis of the vehicle, making installation easy even in small spaces. The integrated wheel is supported directly by reinforced gearbox bearings, which permit high radial forces. Able to handle heavy loads, the gearbox provides a durable solution, using precision planetary gears, and it comes with a range of feedback systems including safety encoders.
3. BSR Series energy-efficient synchronous reluctance motor
Designed to replace traditional induction motors in a wide range of applications, this motor has an innovative rotor design for improved performance without using magnets or windings. It is designed to run cooler, respond faster and help save on energy costs, especially when used with variable speed drives. It also features efficiency levels up to IE4, reduced motor size and lower maintenance needs.
4. AxiaVert Series frequency inverter
Developed for a wide spectrum of applications, the inverter’s modular design makes it easy to mix and match hardware modules, add useful accessories and customise the software to match the required application. It is compatible with multiple motor types and comes with smart features like built-in safety options, Industry 4.0-ready communication, and intuitive PC or mobile interfaces for easy set-up and remote monitoring.
Bonfiglioli will be located at stand J23 at Foodtech Packtech and MHL Expo 2025, being held from 2–4 September 2025 at Auckland Showgrounds.
