Frutarom Echinacea EFLA 894 and Pelargonium EFLA 956

Friday, 18 May, 2012

The Frutarom immune health portfolio includes highly bioavailable forms of minerals such as copper and zinc, as well as Echinacea and Pelargonium-based ingredients.

Echinacea EFLA 894 is a dry-pressed herb juice traditionally used as an immune tonic and to treat cough and cold symptoms.

Frutarom claims its Pelargonium EFLA 956, a root extract from Pelargonium sidoides DC, is a safe and effective product that can help speed recovery from cold and flu while reducing the severity and duration of the associated symptoms.

Both products are produced under strict PIC-GMP certification guidelines and in line with ecological principles, the company says.

Almost all of the ingredients are available as water-soluble powders and contain minimal or no trace of carrier. They are suitable for use in a range of finished dietary supplements and pharmaceuticals, such as tablets, softgels, syrups, bars, shots and candies.
