IPD acquires Control Logic
Australian-owned organisation IPD, which has a foothold in the electrical industry, has acquired sales and support specialist company Control Logic.
The acquisition, which is active from 1 October, seeks to bring together two industry-leading businesses to create an entity that can provide a complete end-to-end solution for existing and future customers nationally.
IPD Chief Executive Michael Sainsbury said the acquisition provides its customers with a wider range of industrial electrical and automation products and solutions.
“The two businesses have a very compatible culture and dedication to delivering quality outcomes for all customers,” Sainsbury said.
Control Logic General Manager Michael Bacon said high-quality service and a strong customer focus were important qualities when looking for a business partner.
“As a family-owned business, it was also a priority to partner with an Australian business,” Bacon said.
“We also want to reassure all our customers that it is business as usual; however, moving forward, we can offer the benefits of IPD’s service and testing capabilities, taking Control Logic from a product and systems supplier to a true solutions provider.”
The acquisition came after the recent addition of ABB products and means IPD customers can now engage with a single supplier for more solutions.
