Allied Pinnacle awarded for its sustainable wheat flour progress

Allied Pinnacle was recently recognised by The Arnott’s Group with Sustainable Supply Chain Award 2026 for its continued partnership to build a more sustainable wheat flour supply chain, following significant progress to reduce the carbon impact of its wheat flour supply chain. The award recognises suppliers who identify risks early and work collaboratively to strengthen resilience and drive meaningful sustainability progress across the supply chain.

In 2022, Allied Pinnacle committed to working with The Arnott’s Group to reduce the carbon impact of the products it supplies by 25% over five years. Since then, it has reduced almost 38% of the Scope 1 and 2 emissions attributable to products supplied to The Arnott’s Group.

The Arnott’s Group Chief Procurement Officer, Tom Vicars, said Allied Pinnacle had demonstrated a strong commitment to identifying and acting on opportunities to reduce emissions across the supply chain.

“Allied Pinnacle has been incredibly active in working with us to understand its emissions profile and identify practical ways to reduce its impact across the supply chain,” Vicars said.

“From jointly funding trials with our farmers to improving efficiencies across milling and transport, we’ve partnered to take practical action that strengthens the resilience of the supply chain. They’ve taken some difficult steps and made great progress. Congratulations to the Allied Pinnacle team on this well-deserved recognition.”

Allied Pinnacle CEO David Pitt said the recognition reflects the company’s commitment to making sustainability a meaningful part of how it does business and delivers for its customers.

“That means delivering on the commitments we make to our customers and turning them into practical action and measurable progress. We’re proud of the work we’ve done with The Arnott’s Group and our farmers to reduce emissions across the supply chain, and we’ll continue looking for ways to do better together.”

Allied Pinnacle’s progress has been driven by practical initiatives across the wheat flour supply chain, including jointly funding a further Green Urea trial with The Arnott’s Group and several farmers to explore ways to reduce carbon loss and improve fertiliser efficiency in irrigated soft wheat. It has also consolidated The Arnott’s Group’s soft wheat milling across its operations, helping reduce emissions across production and farm-to-mill transport.
