Rittal Hygienic Design terminal box

Tuesday, 31 August, 2010 | Supplied by: Rittal Pty Ltd

To complement its Hygienic Design range enclosures, Rittal has added a terminal box to the product portfolio.

The HD enclosures, with a protection category of IP69K, are a key element in the design of cleanrooms for open processes in the food industry, where there is an emphasis on ease of cleaning.

The stainless steel cases and enclosures are available in a number of sizes and feature simple cleaning with inclined surfaces of 3° on all sides and 10° on the front cover; all-round, gap-free silicone seal between enclosure and front cover; and hygiene-compliant hexagon locks and seam-free construction.

Captive quick-release cover locks and a one-piece easily replaceable silicone seal for easy assembly/maintenance are standard. For component installation and greater flexibility, internal rails are supplied with 6.25 mm hole pitch, standard support rails and mounting plates that can be fitted directly.
