The Finis Continuous Knife Peeler is a versatile peeling machine that produces peeled product with a longer shelf life without the use of chemicals.

The complete peeling process including pre-peeling takes place without water. Beside that the continuous system ensures of a high capacity with a maximum yield. The standard capacity of the continuous peeling machine ranges from 500 to 5000 kg/h, depending on the product to be peeled. Other capacities can be delivered.

The complete line integrates the following process step: a vision system sorts the potatoes on length and width to ensure the potatoes to the correct sorting lane in the machine a system feeds the potatoes individually to the pick and place system which picks up the potatoes and puts them in the correct position on the holders of the peeling machine the peeling machine, based on the thin knife peeling principle, peels every potato individually and an integrated halving and quartering system can half or quarter every individual potato according to the sorting size of the product.

Advantages that are achieved with the system include: the shelf life of the fresh product can be prolonged 3-5 days waste is dry and solid comprising only loose skin and no use of water during peeling and so no wastewater.
