The International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST) is the global voice of food science and technology. It is a voluntary, non-profit federation of national food science organisations linking the world's food scientists and technologists.

This year, the IUFoST has scheduled its 15th Congress for 22-26 August 2010 in Cape Town, South Africa. The Congress will provide an excellent opportunity for academic and commercial food scientists and technologists from all over the world to meet and network. The content of the program looks to be world class as more than 1329 abstracts from 77 countries had been received when the call for papers closed in February. In addition, over 40 top speakers from both commercial and academic fields have accepted invitations to address the congress and this number continues to grow.

The congress will be complemented with a trade exhibition and technical tours. If you are interested in attending the event or exhibiting at the event, please contact Peter Bush (peterbush@ozemail.com.au). Peter is intent on arranging an Australian contingent and would love to hear from you.
