Profibus EXPO will return to Perth in November

Thursday, 13 October, 2011

The Profibus ‘One for all’ Technical Forum and Exhibition will return to Perth on Thursday 10th November at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Profibus EXPO is an annual event where PAA members showcase their products and solutions in an interactive environment, demonstrating the power of Profibus at all levels of the plant. This no-charge event will feature a number of prominent industry experts sharing their views and knowledge on recent fieldbus developments, future trends and local applications of the technology in the Mining, Food and Water/Wastewater industries.

A highlight of this year’s EXPO will be industry expert and popular UK trainer Andy Verwer who will speak on the important steps involved in designing automation and control systems and the potential pitfalls. He will also present practical demonstrations on the performance monitoring tools ProfiTrace and COMbricks.

Due to the high level of interest for this free one-day event, the PAA has implemented a reserve seating policy.
Reserve seating for the Technology Forum can be obtained through online registration.

Reflecting on the upcoming special events, new PAA Chairman Rafael Koenig commented, “The accelerated growth of Profibus in the Mining, Food and Water/Wastewater industries across the country in recent years has imposed challenges upon the PAA and PICC. We are more than happy and well-equipped to accept these challenges.”

“Membership of the PAA has risen 40% over the last six months. And enrolments in Andy Verwer's (November) Certified Training classes have risen over 50% from figures recorded over the last two years."

“As an industry association, we are mindful that our obligation is to improve technology efficiencies and competitiveness in sectors that currently operate in a challenging environment. At the same time, we are making sure that enough resources are available to industry sectors that are growing.”
