Patties Foods announces new Managing Director
Patties Foods has appointed a new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Steven Chaur’s appointment was announced by the Patties Board on 28 March; he will officially take up the position on 15 April.
Chaur will take over from the current acting joint CEOs Michael Knaap and Tim Peters, who will continue on in their roles as Chief Financial Officer/Company Secretary and Head of Sales respectively.
With more than 20 years in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, Chaur was most recently Managing Director Pacific of Saint-Gobain, one of the world’s top 100 publicly listed industrial groups which manufactures, markets and distributes products for the construction, packaging, industrial and retail markets.
Other positions Chaur has held include Executive General Manager of Tip Top Bakeries (Southern), General Manager of Findus Australia and General Manager of National Foods, Tasmania.
According to Mark Smith, Patties Foods Chairman, Chaur has a “strong track record of transforming companies in the baking, dairy and frozen food industries, through operational improvement, brand innovation-led growth and a customer-driven culture”.
