Foodtech Packtech’s organisers say this year’s event will reflect the sector’s strong performance and ongoing vibrancy. “It’s already clear that September’s show will be phenomenal,” says XPO’s Vanessa White.

“Top industry suppliers from all over New Zealand are on board and we have many overseas companies also raring to go. Thanks to a continuous improvement program and the many special features that make Foodtech Packtech a must-attend for sector professionals, the show continues to play an important role in the packaging, processing and food development industries.”

Foodtech Packtech starts on 25 September at Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds, concluding with the NZ Food Awards on 27 September.

The organisers say there is plenty to look forward to at this year’s event.

“We will have a feature within the show based on last year’s highly successful NZ Food Innovation Showcase profiling the FoodBowl facility. Details are under wraps right now but it’s exciting stuff. You’ll hear much more about that a bit closer to the time,” said White.

“One as-yet-unknown person will have a visit to remember for life as all attendees who visit the Ford stand and get their badge scanned go in the draw to win an amazing Ford Territory TS AWD vehicle valued at $65,000.”

The event will feature a series of development and business seminars, as well as a range of exhibitors’ stands.

“We are offering the latest in Shelf Life Boosting technology (SLB), including vacuum packaging, tray sealing/packing, skin packing and thermoforming, and the latest tray lidding barrier films,” said D&L Packaging’s Digby Morton.

“These technologies greatly extend shelf life to most fresh food products, while maintaining the quality and freshness of the food and all without the need of additives. Clearly there are great advantages for both food producers and consumers.

“We’ll also be demonstrating shrink label application equipment and showcasing some of our latest shrink sleeve/shrink label applicators. There will be lots of shrink labels and shrink tamper sleeve examples on our stand so visitors to the show can see some of the best examples of this technology.” The company will also showcase its range of odour control technology.

Other exhibitors include Spanish company Hiperbaric, presenting its range of integrated high-pressure equipment, and Intralox, with its range of conveying solutions.

Foodtech Packtech is a trade-only event. Entry is free but online registration is required.
