Organic show included in food industry trade show

Thursday, 15 February, 2007

The upcoming Anuga in Cologne will be offering an international trade show for the food industry sector, the new Anuga Organic, 13-17 October 2007.

Anuga presents 10 trade shows under one roof, focusing on 10 strong, promising food segments at the international level. This year marks the first-time inclusion of Anuga Organic.

As a separate trade show under the roof of Anuga, Anuga Organic evolved out of Organic World, a compact exhibition for buyers from the trade and the food service/catering market that proved highly successful in 2005.

Anuga Organic will give the manufacturers and importers of organic products the opportunity to impress partners from the conventional and the specialist trades with their companies' qualities and capabilities. In addition, caterers from a variety of facility types and sizes will be able to discuss balanced organic nutrition with other sector representatives.

The Innovation Prize for Organic Food Processing will be awarded in 2007 by the Schweisfurth Foundation in cooperation with Anuga. Also returning at Anuga will be the presentation of the "Selly' retail award by the German Agricultural Marketing Board (CMA) to the year's best organic supermarkets.

Over 6000 suppliers from around 100 countries present the entire global range of food and beverages at Anuga in an exhibition space of 295,000 m². The event is divided into 10 trade shows in order to present this range in clearly structured sections and to bring together the relevant supply and demand. Anuga 2007 will be taking place at the new Koelnmesse exhibition centre for the first time.
