IMCD Group acquires Mata Polymers and Infineum Australia

Leading global specialty chemicals and food ingredients company IMCD has acquired two major companies in India and Australia, strengthening its expansion strategy in the Asia-Pacific region.

IMCD India acquired the business of Mata Polymers in India. Mata is an established layer in the silicone, textile and construction markets.

IMCD Australia entered into a strategic partnership with Infineum Australia, which IMCD says will be fully integrated into the IMCD Australia organisation.

IMCD opened its regional headquarters in Singapore and appointed Albert Stevens as its Vice-President for Asia in November 2011. It also recently acquired Warwick in Malaysia and opened the IMCD technical centre in India and a personal care lab in Malaysia.
