Food industry well represented in Premier's NSW Export Awards

Tuesday, 22 October, 2013

NSW’s best exporters were recognised on 16 October at the 2013 Premier’s NSW Export Awards. The awards showcased a range of innovative companies across all export sectors, including those with links to the food industry.

“All finalists have shown that innovation, commitment and sheer hard work can pay off, even when the Aussie dollar is high and global markets are weak. The 2013 Premier’s NSW Export Awards finalists and winners all deserve our heartiest congratulations and our thanks,” said Ian Murray, Executive Chairman of the Export Council of Australia.

Having doubled sales in the past 12 months, beef processor Atron Enterprises took out the Agribusiness category. In the Environmental Solutions category, energy optimisation leader TTG Transportation Technology’s Energymiser Driver Advisory system technology saw the company win its category. Bega Cheese took out the Regional category, while SWA Water Australia won the Small Business category.

The 2013 winners will now progress as finalists, representing NSW at the 51st Australian Export Awards, where they will compete against finalists from other state and territory export programs to be named one of 12 national winners and the Prime Minister’s Australian Exporter of the Year.
