Flexicon opens in Sydney

Bulk handling equipment company Flexicon Corporation has opened a sales office in Sydney to better service its expanding business in New South Wales.

Flexicon Australia is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Flexicon Corporation (USA) and produces Flexicon’s full range of bulk handling equipment including flexible screw conveyors, pneumatic conveying systems, bulk bag unloaders, bulk bag conditioners, bulk bag fillers, manual dumping stations, weigh batching systems and custom-engineered plant-wide systems, as well as spares which are maintained in stock.

The Australian subsidiary handles sales, manufacturing and service throughout Australia, New Zealand, South-East Asia and the South Pacific Rim, managing projects ranging from standalone equipment to custom-engineered, turnkey systems including commissioning, training and handover.

Addition of the Sydney sales office was timed to complement the expansion of Flexicon's Brisbane manufacturing facilities, in which the company’s existing 1000 m2 space was more than tripled by expanding into an adjacent 2200 m2 plant, which is dedicated to increasing manufacturing and engineering capacity.

"Adding a dedicated sales facility in Sydney allows us to double the number of Flexicon personnel servicing this market, while allowing the Brisbane and Melbourne offices to devote additional time to our Queensland and Victoria/South Australia customers," said Ray Greene, General Manager, Flexicon Australia.

Flexicon can be found in Sydney at Unit 2/7 Sefton Road, Thornleigh 2120. Telephone 1300 353942, sales@flexicon.com.au, www.flexicon.com.au.
