Bosch finalises Tecsor acquisition

Tuesday, 03 September, 2013

Bosch Packaging Technology has finalised the acquisition of the assets of French company Tecsor Machines et Systémes SAS. Agreements for the acquisition were signed in June 2013. The purchase price has not been disclosed.

Based in Meyreuil, near Marseilles, Tecsor develops and sells machinery for making and filling PET containers for liquid and paste-like foodstuffs used in the food and beverage industry, such as milk bottles or yoghurt cups. Established in 2005, the company generated sales of approximately €2 million in 2012.

Bosch also purchased Germany company Ampack in October 2012. Ampack’s portfolio includes filling machinery for cups and bottles and is used to fill and package highly sensitive foodstuffs such as dairy products, baby food and hospital food.

Tecsor will remain as an independent unit of Bosch Packaging Technology’s Liquid Food business unit and its products will be marketed under the Bosch brand. Executive management will stay with Tecsor’s two company founders, General Manager Olivier Bedin and Technical Director Jean Tristan Outreman.
