APC announces 2014 award winners
The Australian Packaging Covenant (APC) has announced the winners of the APC Awards. The awards were presented at the APC Awards Night in Melbourne on 15 July; another awards ceremony will be held on 23 July at the Sydney APC Awards Night.
The awards are given to APC signatories that have performed “above and beyond” as part of the 2014 annual reporting.
In the Food and Beverage category, Campbell Arnott’s Australia took out the Large Food Company award, while Chobani (Bead Foods) won the Small-Medium Food Company award. Coca-Cola Amatil and Bundaberg Brewed Drinks won awards for Large Beverage Company and Small-Medium Beverage Company respectively.
Metcash Trading was awarded the Retailers award, while McDonald’s Australia was awarded the QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) award.
In the Packaging Manufacturer category, Huhtamaki Australia won the Large Company and CHEP Australia won the Small-Medium Company award.
Veolia Environmental Services won the Recovery and Recycling Award. Murray Goulburn Co-Operative was named Most Improved.
