Grundfos Pumps has hosted an event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Grundfos in Australia and the official opening of its new Queensland Office.

The company was established in 1980, and for the past 30 years it has provided sustainable pumping solutions to customers throughout the country, covering a range of applications across the entire water life cycle.

The company said the new Queensland facility, located in Ormeau, will allow them to better meet the growing sales and service needs of Queensland users, featuring state-of-the-art training resources, increased service and storage capabilities, an easily accessible location, many car spaces and upgraded information and communications systems.

“This new facility proudly boasts a specialised team of Dosing Project Engineers, a service team and a small production team, making it unique in that it will serve as the hub for water treatment engineering and assembly activities for Australia,” said Steen Jensen.

The premises were officially opened before lunch with a plaque unveiled by Søren Ø. Sørensen, Grundfos’s Group Executive Vice President, who made the trip from Denmark.

“Today, we are not only celebrating the opening of this fantastic new facility, but also reaching the milestone of thirty years of Grundfos in Australia. This has been achieved by building strong partnerships with our customers, who rely on us to deliver more than just innovative pumping solutions. In this new facility in Ormeau, we can build upon these capabilities further,” said Sørensen.

The event was attended by key customers and contacts in the pump and water industries, and by members of organisations such as Keep Australia Beautiful Queensland and the Master Plumbers’ Association of Queensland. Also in attendance were Grundfos VIP guests Poul Due Jensen, Area Managing Director for Grundfos Pumps ASEAN Region, and Claus Borup, Regional Finance Director for Grundfos Pumps Asia Pacific Region.
