Nutrition brand opens new manufacturing facility on the Gold Coast
Fixx Nutrition is expanding its manufacturing capabilities due to growing global demand for its natural sports and dietary supplement products.
The new manufacturing facility, located in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast, will allow the business to double the production volumes of its CrampFix, Fuel X and Energy Gel product lines by a factor of more than 100% as it looks to launch in the South African market, following growth in the UK, South Korea and the US.
Founded in 2017 by Michelle and Jan Buchegger, Fixx Nutrition draws on 20+ years of experience in food manufacturing to research and explore innovative ideas to resolve cramping and provide nutrition for endurance athletes. It uses all-natural ingredients specifically selected to replicate the efficacy of pickle juice for this purpose.
The brand has been available at events such as the Gold Coast Marathon and Sydney Marathon, and is used by professional and amateur athletes.
Having sold their previous business, Fehlbergs Fine Foods, to Riviana, the owners (pictured above) moved into sports nutrition, being athletes themselves.
The CrampFix product is available in a 20 mL sachet or 50 mL squeeze bottle.
The company has also recently launched a vegan and gluten-free Gel X PRO range with a formula of amino acids, carbohydrates and sodium to assist runners with energy during races.
