Odour control

Sunday, 01 June, 2008 | Supplied by: Air Aroma

Using the principles of wireless, aro.logik, from Air Aroma, is an automated and customised series of scent diffusers.

Working with the communications capabilities of ZigBee, the company has created a wireless network of diffusers that can be managed remotely over multiple scent zones.

The system uses a software-based interface that provides a central remote access point to activate a scent, vary the intensity or even change the aroma.

Hotels, for example, can release a micro-mist of roses in the foyer, eucalyptus in the gym and chocolate in the lounge at any given time of day. It also means that every guest room — from 1 to more than 100 — can be diffusing a separate scent, also controlled from one point, with the option of in-room override if necessary.
