Turatti Air Dry Tunnel

Tuesday, 10 September, 2013 | Supplied by: JL Lennard Pty Ltd

The Turatti Air Dry Tunnel is a preassembled compact dryer that removes excessive moisture from freshly washed salads prior to packaging. It offers computerised control over temperature and moisture levels, and is available in several sizes and configurations to meet individual customer requirements.

Packaged salads with residual moisture can deteriorate quickly, compromising shelf life. Used immediately after washing, the air-drying tunnel removes excessive moisture from delicate or fragile salads, baby leaves, herbs, bean sprouts and mushrooms.

The tunnel uses low cooling temperatures, which improves the colour of the leaves, according to the manufacturer. Computerised control over temperature and moisture levels reduces retention times and therefore energy consumption.

The machine can be sanitised in minutes and a clean-in-place (CIP) option is available.
