Stainless steel spiral bevel gearboxes

TK Spiral Bevel Gearboxes, designed for transmission of rotary motion and power between 90° angle shafts, are manufactured entirely from AISI 304 stainless steel.

The electro-polished surface is suitable for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Compared to straight teeth, spiral teeth are claimed to be quieter and subjected to less stress at high speeds as the teeth engage gradually across the whole tooth causing less abrupt transfer of force. The impact stress and noise on straight teeth make them unsuitable for heavy loads at high speeds.

The range is available in three different sizes, shafts from 9 to 20 mm capable of input power up to 5.5 kW and speeds of 1400 rpm. The gearboxes are available in ratios 1:1 and 2:1. If an application criteria cannot be met using the stainless steel spiral bevel gearboxes then individual straight bevel gears are also available in stainless steel, steel or plastic.
