The Wallace & Tiernan Single Function Controller (SFC) is a single measurement unit which is suitable for the measurement and control of disinfectants, allowing devices such as dosing pumps, electric stroke positioners and continuous actuators to maintain accurate and measured concentrations.
The SFC complements the currently available Multi-Function Controller (MFC), which maintains the same level of measurement performance as the single unit, but can measure multiple units. Both instruments share the same modular design and easy-to-use functions.
The SFC is suitable for applications in water, industrial process water, swimming pools, public utilities, food and beverage industries and wastewater plants.
The measurements available include free chlorine, total chlorine, pH value, redox voltage, conductivity, ClO2, O3, KMn04, F- and temperature.
Used with the Wallace & Tiernan SFC PC unit, the SFC offers a choice of four control options. The flow proportional control option enables the adjustment of the feed research based on the current process flow, whereas the feed forward control adjusts the feed research in proportion to an external measurement input or optional measurement module. Both closed-loop and compound loop control maintains a desired setpoint based on a measured value, however, the compound loop control also allows for fluctuations in the water flow.
The modular design consists of an electronic module, a flow cell module and a sensor measuring module. This allows more than one parameter to be measured by combining more electronic modules together using a CAN sensor/actuator bus. The SFC unit is also compatible with the MFC, along with all currently available measurement sensors.
