Proseal has introduced the GT3 tray-sealing machine that can be used to process over 150 units/min. The equipment is suitable for fast production lines such as meat products and fresh fruit.
Throughput speeds are maximised due to a 3-axis servo drive tray transfer system, which can be automatically adjusted for different tray heights.
An internet-based secure gateway system enables engineers to remotely access the touch screens - both PLC and HMI - of each customer to provide diagnostic support and implement software modifications.
The system allows company experts to deliver real-time data and error condition support. It provides condition running data - such as packs per minute, temperature settings, seal time and air pressure. All information can be exported directly into the customer’s production monitoring screens. The system includes an outgoing connection to the internet, which means the customer’s network security is not compromised.
Advantages of the units are increased reliability over analog modems and it is always activated, meaning diagnostics and updates can be performed without any action required from the customer.
Benefits include its providing a stream of data live from the machine, reducing the time to diagnose and solve machine error conditions and allowing the machine to be remotely upgraded with the latest software.
At the smaller scale of its range, the T2 is a hand-operated tray-sealing machine with a manual feed system that is capable of up to six cycles/min. It is suitable for trials or development work, small-scale production or food shops and delicatessens.
Both machines have a robust and hygienic construction and a user-friendly design that help maximise throughput and minimise downtime. The auto tool facility on both sets of equipment means that tool changes can be carried out quickly.
