Process Systems Services PSS industrial inline cooling tunnel

Wednesday, 03 March, 2010 | Supplied by: Process Systems Services Pty Ltd

Process Systems Services’ PSS industrial inline cooling tunnel can be used for chocolate production and is also suitable for a range of confectionery or other food products.

Extensively manufactured from stainless steel and designed with easy access for cleaning, the tunnel meets stringent hygiene requirements of the food industry.

Hinged hoods, supported in the open position by gas struts, enable the product and/or belt to be inspected at any point along the tunnel. A dual-flow air recirculation system provides good cooling over the surface of the product, and the return air path, underneath the belt, provides additional contact cooling of the product from below. This is suitable for the cooling of chocolate-enrobed products. The tunnel allows uniform and efficient cooling of products regardless of belt position. A noser bar can be provided at infeed and discharge to accommodate transfer conveyors.

The tunnels can be supplied with belt widths from 600 to 1200 mm and almost any practicable length. Cooler modules are manufactured in 2400 mm sections to simplify site installation. The modular construction allows for extension of the tunnel as production requirements change.

An integral refrigeration unit is provided which can have a local or remote condensing unit. Larger tunnels may have more than one refrigeration module.
